  3.  Welcome to the Tampa Bay Amiga Group's Disk of the Month. This disk is a
  4. collection of some of the best Public Domain & Shareware Software available
  5. If there are any files on here that are not in the Public Domain or
  6. Shareware, let us know so we can remove them.
  7.  What's new about this disk is its Multi-tasking format for Workbench. Almost
  8. everything can be controlled from Workbench. All files run from icons and
  9. everything has documentation to teach you how to use it.
  10.  Now for the Multi-tasking set up. You will notice that all the windows open
  11. at the same place. This leaves the rest of the screen open to use disk icons
  12. and to move files from drawer to drawer via the icons. To see the different
  13. windows simply use the front & back gadgets to flip from window to window.
  14. This disk is set up for Dos 1.2 so it has a Ram Disk icon. Frequently used
  15. files may be moved into the ram window for super fast access. Programs such
  16. as picture files can be loaded, then using the front & back gadgets you can
  17. flip through the different screens. This set up takes full advantage of the
  18. front & back gadgets. Once you get use to this format you can set up all
  19. your Workbench type disk this way. Just replace the files in the drawers
  20. with your own selection of programs and rename the drawers to suit your
  21. needs. If you have a two drive system you can have both disk set up the
  22. same way. The more memory you have the more useful the format becomes.
  23.  If the Amiga is your first computer then getting use to the Workbench
  24. environment was probably rather simple. Now don't get me wrong, there is
  25. alot to learn about it, but using the mouse & icons was an easy concept to
  26. grasp. You click a picture that represents the task you want to perform,
  27. the program is loaded, and your up and running. 
  28.  Now if you owned a computer before you are more familiar with how to work
  29. in the CLI environment than Workbench (unless you owned a Macintosh). Now
  30. alot of people just stick to CLI and never take advantage of Workbench.
  31. Most say the reason is they can't do everything they need to do from
  32. Workbench. Truth is, Habits are hard to break. You get set in your ways,
  33. but with programs such as Dirutil that takes the place of many CLI commands,
  34. this is slowly changing. As the Workbench environment gets more efficient
  35. more people will start using it. Our format gives you the best of both
  36. worlds. Taking advantage of all the Workbench options plus a CLI window you
  37. can enter those needed keyboard commands.
